Crina, this is one of the best posts I've seen in a long time. Not everyone can perceive an artist's dream state (sometimes I feel that to follow your artistry is to follow your dream state), but for some reason, with your work, I can and it's stunning, as are your photos. "Photographs are just a form of organized amnesia....We think they help us remember, but in fact they help us forget everything that's left outside the frame." This statement alone makes me wish I could have been a voyeur, present with you all. Excellent work!
Well, this is for sure the most thoughtful comment I've got here on Substack (and not surprisingly, from you). I admit my photos are usually very much the product of a state in which meditation/imagination has a considerable role. My real job (dentist) is keeping me in the real world heavily, so I rely on photography to let my mind flow. Since we're here, I was going to stop by your latest post (mother photos) and tell you how moved I was by the story. It threw me back to Roland Barthes's momentum and punctum, and to the incredible fluidity of time and emotions, which both make photography the amazing vehicle for understanding better how we exist in parallel levels of time. Thank you.
Ce minunatie! Pozele, textele, ideile.
