I'm sorry to say that I didn't know about the Cluj School of Painting, so thanks for educating me. It's fascinating that so many artists are working in a figurative manner and I'd love to know more about the link between this approach and their post-communist situation. I love the names of the spaces - Spația Intact and Centre of Interest (is this an accurate translation?) Cluj looks to be a very inspiring place to live and work.

I am glad you liked this article. I was motivated to write it because in all honesty, this is one of the best art events I have been to in a while. Yes, I may be biased, but at this point, Cluj is a place where there is a very good and thriving art community, which is to say it's also good for any and all artists to work and collaborate with so many other likeminded people.
